The movie is Little Orphan Annie, not Little Illegitimate Quaneisha or Little Abandoned Lashameka. Little Orphan Annie originated as a comic strip, and Annie was created as a little red haired white girl. In the original movie, Annie was white with red hair. Why did they feel the need to change her race? Isn't a white Annie good enough? If you don't see a problem with that, then I don't know what to tell you. I think it's incredibly racist and insensitive, and I think the author and the original actress who played the original Annie are both owed an apology.
